A diverse group of managers discussing respectful workplace standards in a meeting room

Legal update: In Great Britain, the current duty is to take reasonable steps to prevent workplace sexual harassment. From 30 October 2026, this changes to all reasonable steps and strengthened third-party harassment liability takes effect.

This practical course prepares managers to prevent workplace sexual harassment, recognise risk and respond safely when a concern is raised. It uses realistic workplace examples and keeps the focus on the decisions a manager may need to make.

Who it is for: Managers and supervisors working in Great Britain. It supports local policy and reporting arrangements; it does not qualify a learner to investigate allegations or replace HR, safeguarding or legal advice.

What you will learn

  • Recognise sexual harassment and the workplace situations in which risk can arise.
  • Turn risk assessment into proportionate, visible prevention controls.
  • Receive and escalate a concern without blame, false promises or an improvised investigation.
  • Use fair interim measures, records and review to protect people and improve the system.

How the course works

Work through ten short tutor-led lessons, then complete one 12-question final assessment. Allow approximately 35 to 45 minutes. The separate Manager Prevention Action Pack contains the detailed workplace checklists, action plan and evidence records.

Important: Course completion is one prevention measure. It does not by itself show that an employer has taken reasonable steps or all reasonable steps.
