Legal timeline: In Great Britain, employers currently have a duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of workers. From 30 October 2026, this becomes a duty to take all reasonable steps, and strengthened liability for harassment by third parties takes effect.
This practical course helps employees recognise workplace sexual harassment, understand boundaries, respond safely as a witness and use reporting and support routes. It uses realistic examples across workplaces, online spaces, work events and third-party contact.
Who it is for: Employees and workers in Great Britain. It supports, but does not replace, your employer’s policy, reporting arrangements, safeguarding procedures or specialist advice.
What you will learn
- Recognise sexual harassment accurately and distinguish it from related legal concepts.
- Apply respectful boundaries in person, online and at work-related events.
- Choose safe, proportionate bystander actions without putting yourself or somebody else at greater risk.
- Raise a concern, make a useful record and understand what a fair response may involve.
How the course works
Work through eight short tutor-led lessons, then complete one 12-question final assessment. Allow approximately 30 to 40 minutes. A downloadable Employee Support and Reporting Pack provides a quick guide, local contact card, incident or witness note and safe bystander options.
