Facilities employee carrying out a visual safety check beside a modern escalator and moving walkway

Escalators and moving walkways are familiar equipment, but slips, falls, entrapment, crowding and defects can still cause serious harm.

This practical UK-focused course helps employees, facilities teams and customer-facing staff use the equipment safely, recognise warning signs, act within their authority and respond sensibly to defects and emergencies.

Course structure: five lessons followed by a ten-question final assessment. Passing confirms awareness only. Anyone assigned visual-checking or emergency-response duties must also complete the employer’s site briefing and practical familiarisation before undertaking the role.
