Building project dutyholders reviewing plans and compliance information beside a construction site

This England-focused course explains the Building Regulations dutyholder regime and the additional controls that apply to higher-risk building work. It is designed for developers, clients, designers, contractors, principal dutyholders and project or compliance managers.

What you will learn

  • How to decide which regulatory route applies
  • What clients, designers, contractors and principal dutyholders must do
  • How Building Regulations roles differ from CDM 2015 roles
  • How BSR approval, change control, occurrence reporting and golden-thread information work
  • How construction duties connect with occupied-building duties and handover

The course contains eight lessons and one 12-question final assessment. The pass mark is 80 percent and retakes are unlimited. Completion records awareness; it does not appoint a dutyholder, prove role competence or confirm compliance of a particular project.
