This safety-awareness course explains how authorised SMART-repair technicians and supervisors plan and control localised cosmetic vehicle repairs at fixed sites and mobile customer locations.

- Repair, vehicle, product and site planning.
- Work-area, traffic, pedestrian and lone-working controls.
- Chemical, dust, skin, noise and vibration exposure.
- Reactive coatings, isocyanates, air-fed RPE and exclusion.
- Portable tools, electrical equipment, pressure systems, UV and heat sources.
- Cleaning, decontamination, waste and site restoration.
- Health surveillance, biological monitoring, emergencies and reporting.
Course structure
Complete eight lessons followed by a course-level 12-question final assessment. The pass mark is 80% (at least 10 correct), and retakes are permitted.
Scope boundary: this course supports awareness. It does not train or authorise spraying, reactive-product mixing, RPE selection or use, UV curing or specialist repair-tool operation. Product-specific and equipment-specific instruction, supervised practice, an observed assessment, health surveillance where required, separate UK REACH diisocyanate training where applicable and written employer authorisation remain essential.
