Client facilities manager and principal contractor reviewing plans beside a securely separated commercial refurbishment site

Construction duties do not begin at the site gate. The client shapes the project through early decisions about scope, appointments, information, time, resources and the way construction interfaces with an operating workplace.

This UK-focused awareness course gives facilities, property, procurement and contract managers a practical framework for recognising construction work, selecting capable dutyholders, confirming the construction-phase gate, protecting workers and the public, and securing information for safe future work.

Course structure: five lessons followed by a ten-question final assessment. Passing confirms awareness; it does not appoint a CDM dutyholder or approve a live project.
