Domestic Air Conditioning Installation – Safety Awareness

This awareness course explains how engineers and assistants can plan and control domestic split or multi-split air-conditioning installation work safely. It covers job planning, competence boundaries, asbestos and hidden services, occupied-home controls, access and work at height, drilling and dust, lifting and mounting, electrical isolation, refrigerant and pressure work, hot work, commissioning and handover.

Competence boundary: online completion supports knowledge only. It does not confer an F-gas or electrical qualification, prove practical competence, or authorise installation, refrigerant handling, brazing, live electrical work or other safety-critical tasks. Employers must provide task-specific assessment, practical instruction and written authorisation.
