Diisocyanates can cause occupational asthma, respiratory sensitisation, dermatitis and serious irritation. This combined course contains the prescribed general and intermediate elements for covered industrial and professional users.
Learners apply the 0.1% legal threshold and training-level boundary; control open mixing and manual application; understand ventilated-booth spraying and air-fed breathing apparatus; manage cold post-treatment, cleaning and waste; and respond to symptoms or control failures.
Course structure: eight substantive lessons followed by a separate course-level 12-question final assessment. The pass mark is 80% and retakes are unlimited after review.
Training boundary: advanced work is excluded. Employers remain responsible for product- and task-specific COSHH assessment, practical instruction, competence, authorisation, supervision, health surveillance and monitoring where required.
