Tail lifts combine lifting machinery, work at height, manual handling and workplace transport risks. This awareness course explains how trained and authorised workers can prepare the vehicle and site, check the lift, control loads, prevent falls and trapping, and respond to defects or unsafe conditions.
The course includes eight lessons and a 12-question final assessment. It supports employer training but does not replace model-specific instruction, supervised practical training, competence assessment, manufacturer instructions, risk assessment, maintenance, inspection or LOLER thorough examination.
