This course explains how to couple and uncouple a compatible centre-axle drawbar trailer safely using a towing eye and hitch pin.

What you will learn

  • Recognise runaway, crush, false-coupling and trailer-stability risks
  • Prepare the area, prime mover and trailer
  • Inspect and align the hitch, towing eye and support legs
  • Engage and prove the towing pin and safety device
  • Connect and disconnect air and electrical services in the correct sequence
  • Support the trailer and separate the units safely
  • Complete final checks and respond to defects or unexpected movement
