This course explains how to couple and uncouple a compatible centre-axle drawbar trailer safely using a towing eye and hitch pin.
What you will learn
- Recognise runaway, crush, false-coupling and trailer-stability risks
- Prepare the area, prime mover and trailer
- Inspect and align the hitch, towing eye and support legs
- Engage and prove the towing pin and safety device
- Connect and disconnect air and electrical services in the correct sequence
- Support the trailer and separate the units safely
- Complete final checks and respond to defects or unexpected movement
