Qualitative Face Fit Testing (Pre Test)

This course explains how qualitative face fit testing is carried out and what wearers must understand before attending a test. It is designed to follow completion of RPE Awareness – Tight-Fitting Masks, which provides the foundation on respirator types, limitations, and user responsibilities. The course sets out operator obligations, explains why face fit testing is legally required, describes the qualitative test process, and reinforces the importance of competence, record keeping, and re-testing in line with HSE guidance INDG479 and HSG53.
